I enjoyed Secret Vampire by L.J. Smith. I thought it was a quick, easy read, and the story kept me interested the whole time. The relationship between Poppy and James was my favorite part because it felt emotional, and I liked that they already had a strong friendship before the romance started. Poppy was also a character I liked because she didn't just sit around waiting for things to happen — she handled everything well. I also thought the vampire and Night World storyline was interesting and made me want to learn more about the rest of the series. Since it's an older YA book, some parts felt a little dated, and the romance moved pretty fast, but that didn't bother me. I'd give it a 4 out of 5 stars because it was entertaining, emotional, and a great start to the Night World series.

I read these books years ago in high school and I loved them, but unfortunatly the final book hasnt been released and I dont see it happening any time soon. So for that it gets 4 stars.

I absolutely fell in love with them when they came out. I was maybe 6 when I started to read on my own and Paranormal (Romance) has been my go to for almost 24 years. Book 10 was said to have came out the same time as the rest but it won't come out until 2030 according to some sites. PLEASE get book 10 out and make The Night World series an audiobook (for name help).
