I would highly recommend this book. Having known the author for many years I have seen the effort that has gone into it. From the basics to deep diving on a number of topics the book, and the other volumes, cover it all. I also know that the author continues to be highly motivated and will keep updating the book with newer methods and best practices.

Tech Rescue: Volume 3 is an excellent addition to Steve Crandall's volume of work. The book takes many of the principles learned in Volumes 1 and 2 and applies them to the confined space arena. Don't make the mistake of thinking it is a rehash of the previous volumes as it gives rescuers a vast number of techniques, principles and theory specific to confined spaces that are not covered in the other volumes. It covers all the bases from Awareness to Operations and including Technician level information and training. Having worked for and with Steve Crandall for nearly 16 years I have personally witnessed the evolution of all of his manuals. They are constantly updated with new techniques and information. Volume 3 follows the same successful format as Volume 1 and 2 with step by step instructions, highlighted in green boxes. Key terms, important principles and safety warnings are also highlighted in different colors to allow for easy identification of valuable topics. As with volumes 1 and 2 this volume also has an index to assist the reader in locating information. A valuable addition to any rescuer's library.
