I would highly recommend this book. Having known the author for many years I have seen the effort that has gone into it. From the basics to deep diving on a number of topics the book, and the other volumes, cover it all. I also know that the author continues to be highly motivated and will keep updating the book with newer methods and best practices.

Tech Rescue: Volume 2 is another outstanding foray into the rope rescue world. The book is a valuable asset for those looking to take the next step in their rope rescue skillset. Volume 2 takes up where Volume 1 leaves off taking the rescuer into the techniques and knowledge required to operate at the Rope Technician level. The illustrations are presented in a clean and easy to interpret format. All the important information is highlighted just as in Volume 1. The index in each of the three books makes locating information easy. Steve Crandall does an excellent job of explaining the theories and principles behind the techniques we use in the rope rescue world. This teaching mindset is what allows us as rescuers to apply the knowledge in a wide range of situations that may not fit into the "standard rope rescue" scenario. I highly recommend this book for those ready to level up their rope rescue knowledge base.
