Help on their wrist. Alerts on your phone.
Lanturne turns a Wear OS smartwatch into a safety line between an older person who lives alone and the family member who looks out for them.
EVERY DAY
The watch asks for a check-in at a time you choose. One tap on "I'm OK" and your phone shows they checked in. If the tap does not come, you get an alert.
WHEN THEY NEED HELP
They hold the HELP button for three seconds. A short countdown lets them cancel a press made by mistake. Then the alert reaches your phone with where they are on a map, and a Call 911 button.
The HELP button is also on the Lanturne tile, one swipe from the watch face. Add the Lanturne complication to their watch face and a Help shortcut sits on the face itself. Tapping it opens the HELP button.
WHEN NOBODY PRESSES ANYTHING
Some emergencies leave nobody able to press a button. You are alerted when:
• the watch detects a fall and they do not wave it off
• the daily check-in is missed
• the watch stops reporting
• the watch is worn but finds no pulse and no movement
You choose how long Lanturne waits before each of the last three.
IF YOU DO NOT ANSWER
Name one emergency contact. If you have not acknowledged an alert within a few minutes, they get it too. The alert repeats until somebody says they are on it.
WHAT YOU SEE
• Whether they checked in today, and when
• Whether the watch is on the wrist or charging, and its battery
• Their pulse, as the watch reads it
• Where they were during an alert, on a map
• A history you can read back and download
WHAT YOU NEED
An Android phone for you, and a Wear OS watch for them: a Samsung Galaxy Watch4 or newer, a Pixel Watch, or similar. Refurbished Galaxy watches start at $89. The watch reaches Lanturne over Wi-Fi it knows, the phone it was set up with, any phone's hotspot, or its own mobile plan, so you can be anywhere.
Setup takes a few minutes: install Lanturne on both, then type the six-digit code the watch shows. The watch also reads it aloud.
PRICE
7 days free, then $30 a month or $120 a year. One subscription covers you, the person wearing the watch, and one emergency contact. There is no hardware to buy from us.
WHAT THE WATCH SHARES
Lanturne is set up together with the person who wears the watch. It shares their check-ins, whether the watch is worn and charging, the pulse and movement the watch reads, and their location on an SOS, a detected fall or a check-in, plus their latest position about once an hour, with you and one emergency contact. A Lanturne notification stays on the watch the whole time it is running.
Lanturne is not a medical device and does not call emergency services for you. It does not diagnose anything. It tells you what happened, and you decide what to do.
