About this ebook

Dominant.

Mercenary.

Navy SEAL

I had one job on the Teams. Predict the unpredictable. See what no one else saw. Analyze, assess, anticipate. Then execute with deadly force.

Calculating the enemy’s moves, including the ones they hadn’t thought of yet was my specialty. I did it for the Navy and now I was private sector, utilizing my skills at Alpha Elite Security. I had a hundred percent mission success rate…until her.

Make no mistake, I saw the blonde coming. I predicted her every move. But this time, I wasn’t going to stop it. I was going to do something much worse.

Weirdly boring for a supposedly erotic romance novel. It just dragged on unnecessarily. I also found their whole relationship very strange. It became even stranger after *spoiler* his love confession near the end of uh I fell in love when you were a small child even though I never met you in person, but it's not weird because I fell in love with your soul just from looking at your pictures and listening to your dad's stories about you. Uh, what? No. Stop it. Please don't romanticize preying on children... Gross.

This is well written and poignant. What happened to her was evil and unconscionable. But this dominant submissive relationships is not for everyone, it is kind of perverted and weird, in a way that they can't speak normally without commanding and the woman following instructions like some wilted wall flower incapable of coherent intelligent thought for herself. Halfway in, it was getting kind of boring with all the emotional and cold dominating commands and depravity, pain and stuff. All you'd be thinking about was when will the story move and see her stand up and fight for herself. Her silence and reticence on divulging all that destroyed her was slowly becoming irritating and that refusal to give herself worth and self value was annoying. Her stupid noble gesture to save people she loved led her to her peril including those she really wanted to save.

I'm not sure I'd agree this male principal is a dominant. I think he's just too full of himself to pay attention to others he sees as less than himself. He certainly doesn't seem to consider the female principal capable of more action than a doll he carries everywhere, dresses as he chooses, and runs roughshod over her freewill. I started out with a lot of respect for her as a survivor. But by the end I wasn't so impressed as she lets him manipulate her. I did appreciate her brief rebellion at the end. But she seemed to concede her entire free will over to him and I don't appreciate that.
