That was a contrived story about two confused people, each on a rather senseless guilt trip, whose thoughts seemed to run away at the most inopportune times. Whatever action there was, it drowned in wordiness, and the trained soldier part wasn't quite believable. Also, readers have a brain, so we don't need to be reminded of what happened or was said all the time.

was not bad, but the continuous referring to the Beaumont sister as " little, child or baby sister" ws annoying... babies, child or little sisters can't be in a relationship nor have children... the WRITER could use words like "" younger""
