The Mercy Seat

TAGLINE: Blood. Mercy. Meeting.

FULL DESCRIPTION:

The mercy seat — the golden lid of the ark of the covenant, where God said "I will meet with thee" (Exodus 25:22) — is the Bible's great picture of how a holy God meets sinful people: through blood, with mercy.

Across 15 chapters you'll learn:

- Why God chose one specific place to meet His people — and what "there I will meet with thee" means for you

- What dwelled between the cherubim, and why even angels gaze at the mercy seat

- What the high priest did once a year with blood — and why it had to be repeated

- How Jesus changed the rhythm from once a year to once for all

- Why the veil tore from top to bottom the moment Christ died

- What "propitiation" means — and why Paul's Greek word is the mercy seat itself

- How Jesus is the place of God's presence, the place of blood, and the place of meeting

- Why our great High Priest understands your weakness from experience

- What the Father's heart of mercy looks like in the prodigal son

- How the Holy Spirit takes the finished work and applies it to your conscience

- How to come boldly to the throne of grace — to the Father, through the Son, by the Spirit

- How to put the mercy seat at the center of your home

- Why no sinner is beyond mercy — not David, not Paul, not you

- How to build a daily morning meeting at the mercy seat

- Why mercy has a deadline — and why today is the day of salvation

Bible-first throughout. Unapologetically Trinitarian: prayer to the Father, through Jesus Christ the Son — Lord and Savior, Son of God and Son of Man — by the power of the Holy Spirit. Change by the Spirit's power, not willpower.

Each chapter opens with Scripture and ends with one clear action step. Includes a Q&A appendix answering the honest questions people ask about the mercy seat, and a closing prayer.

I will meet with thee.
