About this ebook

God had a sermon to preach, and He did not preach it in a temple. He preached it in a workshop: "Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words" (Jeremiah 18:2).

The Potter Made Simple is a Bible-first walk through the potter's shop — from the wheel Jeremiah watched (Jeremiah 18:1-6), to the marred vessel made again, to the Potter's absolute right over the clay (Romans 9:20-21), to Isaiah's prayer, "we are the clay, and thou our potter" (Isaiah 64:8), to the purging that makes vessels of honor (2 Timothy 2:20-21), to the wheel of circumstance (Psalm 139), the fire of trial (1 Peter 1:6-7), and the Master's use.

Eleven devotional chapters, each with Scripture, reflection, application, and prayer. Explicitly Trinitarian: the Father, the sovereign Potter; Jesus Christ — Son of God and Son of Man, Lord and Savior — the Maker of the clay and the perfect vessel; and the Holy Spirit, the water in the clay, who softens, convicts, purifies, fills, and empowers. Every prayer is to the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit. Every lasting change is His work alone — never willpower, never technique.

Read one chapter a day. Come soft. Yield daily. Stay on the wheel.
