From New York Times bestseller Elle Cosimano, comes Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gunâthe hilarious and heart-pounding next installment in the beloved Finlay Donovan series.
"Fresh, heartfelt and witty, Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun is a twisty page-turner, and its relatable heroine Finlay Donovan is irresistible!" âJanet Evanovich
âI love Finlay Donovan so much I would 100% hide a dead body for her.ââJessie Q. Sutanto
Dating. Diapers. And dodging bullets. Who said single moms can't have fun?
Finlay Donovan has been in messes beforeâafter all, she's an author and single mom whoâs a pro at getting out bloodstains for rather unexpected reasonsâbut none quite like this. She and her nanny/partner-in-crime Vero accidentally destroyed a luxury car that they âborrowedâ in the process of saving Finlayâs ex-husband. The Russian mob handled her debt, but that means Finlay now owes them.
Still running the show from behind bars, mob boss Feliks has a task for Finlay: find a contract killer before the cops do. Problem is, the killer might be an officer. Luckily, hot cop Nick has started up a citizenâs police academy, so Finlay has the perfect cover-up to sleuth out the real criminal as she does some âresearchâ for her new novel. Nick is more than happy to get close to Finlay, but heâs also getting dangerously close to the truth.
As Finlay and Vero dodge potential spies and juggle the daily trials of parenting, they can only hope they find the crooked cop before Feliks catches up with themânot to mention revealing Veroâs mysterious past, Nickâs growing interest in Finlay, and the threat of her looming book deadline.

Some really gripping actionđŻ I found this 3rd in the series a faster read than the 2nd, grabbing my interest and keeping it. It's still incredible the trouble Finlay and nanny/accountant Vero stumble into, especially when they're surrounded by cops. The final action scene was the most exciting: a winner for me. The book is full of twists and suspicious characters who keep Finlay in constant suspense as she tries to uncover contract killer EasyClean. Good humor, too: Finlay's kids are greatđ

There is nothing like the mayhem and shenanigans that reigns whenever Finlay and Vero get caught up in whatever new adventure has them scrambling to set things right in their world. Their time at a citizenâs police academy is the perfect backdrop for their struggle to solve who the bad guy is this time around. The romance remains on the edges even though itâs definitely kicked up a notch, the humor is perfectly layered throughout, and the mystery is smartly developed.

Elle Cosimano has created complex characters and a killer storyline. What I really enjoy about her stories; pivotal moments are not rushed and quickly wrapped up. This adds to the suspense which I love. I am enjoying this series and can't wait to see what Finlay and Vero get into next!
