What’s in the cards next for Finlay Donovan?
Finlay Donovan and her nanny/partner-in-crime Vero are in sore need of a girls’ weekend away. They plan a trip to Atlantic City, but since it’s actually a cover story to negotiate a deal with a dangerous loan shark, save Vero’s childhood crush Javi, and hunt down a stolen luxury car, it won’t be all fun and games. When Finlay’s ex-husband Steven and her mother insist on tagging along, Finlay and Vero suddenly have a few too many meddlesome passengers along for the ride.
Within hours of arriving in their seedy casino hotel, it becomes clear their rescue mission is going to be a bust. When Finlay and Vero sneak into the loan shark’s suite to search for clues, they find more than they bargained.
If Finlay can juggle a jealous ex-husband, two precocious kids, her mother’s marital issues, and a decomposing loan shark, and find Vero’s missing boyfriend, she might get out of Atlantic City in one piece. But will she fold under the pressure and come clean about the things she’s done, or be forced to double down?

Elle Cosimano does it again! I love the Finlay Donovan series! This book is full of mystery, outlandish tactics, and romance that I have come to love from this author. This book has all the quirky characters that we love! Finlay and Vero head to Atlantic City to rescue Javi, but Steven, the kids, and Finlay's mom tag along. Finlay and Vero stumble upon dead bodies, and Nick and the FBI show up. The twists and turns in this book kept me on the edge of my seat. I found myself laughing out loud mu

This duo just keep digging themselves deeper into trouble. With each step forward it’s two dead bodies back. And I’m here for every step of the way. I loved this madcap adventure as it included an ex husband, children, a mother and a mashup of other characters that added danger, drama and humor with every twist and turn. The Vero and Javi storyline takes an interesting turn and of course things are moving forward with Finlay and her hot detective. Overall a fun read with a great mystery.
