Moira has two things left to live for: getting Nerida back, and making the Mage Supreme pay for what he’s done. But revenge is never simple—and when she finally has Ei at her mercy, the answers he offers are worse than the questions she came with.
Because the enemy she thought she knew may not be the one she should fear most.
As dark forces gather and the dead begin to stir, Moira and her companions must reckon with power they never asked for, truths that unravel everything they believed, and the terrible cost of a war that has been centuries in the making.
Some souls cannot be saved. Others were never meant to be.
Do you love sweeping sapphic fantasy with love that's been earned across four books, a found family that keeps choosing each other, and a villain who's been winning for a thousand years? This is the final book in the The Elemental Saga series.
Camilla Vavruch writes fantasy stories filled with magic, misfits, and found family. She is a medical doctor by training and an author by calling, balancing clinical work with a deep commitment to storytelling and creativity.
Her writing is character-driven and emotionally grounded, often exploring themes of belonging, courage, and chosen family. She enjoys weaving warmth and hope into fantastical settings, creating stories that balance adventure with heart.
Camilla is the author of three series, The Elemental Saga and Stories of Gereon, (both set in the same universe, but with entirely different characters and focus), and Sugar and Scales. Currently, she’s working on The Greenhouse Keeper’s Guide to Magical Gardening, which is coming to Kickstarter in the fall of 2026. All of Camilla’s stories include found family (her favorite trope!), at least a touch of hurt/comfort, and a healthy dose of fantastical creatures.
Beyond writing, Camilla enjoys developing the visual and creative elements that accompany her books. Her stories frequently include queer representation and richly imagined worlds that invite readers to stay awhile.
Camilla lives in Sweden with her husband and three children. When she’s not writing, she can usually be found with a pen in hand, sketching new ideas, baking, or dreaming up her next project.
