Grazia Deledda (1871–1936) was a Sardinian novelist and the second woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature (1926). Her novels are fierce, elemental portraits of Sardinian life — its codes of honour, its landscapes, and its unforgiving moral universe.
Haberdash Books is dedicated to bringing overlooked works of European and world literature into English. We specialise in nineteenth and early twentieth-century fiction from lesser-translated languages and traditions.
