About this ebook

A roguish second son. A desperate lady. One scandal that could destroy them—or bind them forever.

Edward Hallworth, notorious for his charm and his disinterest in marriage, never meant to become a hero. But when a breathless young woman seizes his arm in Hyde Park, begging for protection, instinct and curiosity propel him into a storm of secrets. The lady in question, Miss Lydia Ashby, carries a past she cannot reveal and a pursuer who will stop at nothing.

Drawn together by circumstance and danger, Edward and Lydia agree to a reckless arrangement. One that will test his jaded heart and her fragile trust. But passion has a way of rewriting intentions, and soon the line between pretense and desire begins to blur.

A Reckless Arrangement, where rescue becomes temptation, and a single plea for help sparks a love neither expected.

This is Edward and Lydia's story. It starts out in Hyde Park when she needs help, but will he help her? Who is after her? What starts out as a fake engagement might just lead to more. Can he keep her safe?. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Wonderful story full of secrets and things that can't be revealed without consequence. The two main characters have to bond together to try to get through what they need to get through. Like the setting and the background of the story. Historical novels are always interesting to read and hear the language and how they handle things during that time. Good read. This fourth book in the Courting Ruin series was a heartwarming fake engagement historical romance. A false engagement and a campaign against a corrupt man led to intense undeniable feelings. The characters and their journey to a remarkable love built upon trust and respect were compelling and wonderful. The ending was satisfying. I highly recommend reading!
