Jen is the type of person that I strive to be. Her resilience is extraordinary. Despite life's punches, she never gives up hope. She doesn't wait for good things to come her way, she tries to make them happen for herself. Insecurities be damned. Too bad the blows are coming quicker than she can fend them off. The biggest one? TJ Laughlin. TJ is the one man who can bring her to her knees. He brings all her self-doubt to the surface. Can the one person who sees through the pain, show her how to rise above it? Maybe This Time is a delightful tale of optimism, love and inspiration. Something that we all need at one time or another. A pick me up.

LOVED!! Maybe This Time is the second book in the Whiskey & Weddings series and while we were teased with TJ & Jen's story in the first book, you can easily read this one standalone. These characters and their story are both well developed. You feel like they are your friends and have you cheering for them right from the beginning. Jen seems like she's carefree and hard as nails. That's the mask she wears. Lately though life has slapped her around and the mask is beginning to slip. Thank goodness for the temporary position at the Stag. Wedding planning was never her dream job but she finds she enjoys it and she's pretty good at it too. The only problem - TJ Laughlin. TJ is basically her boss as a co-owner of the Stag so the attraction between them is not only inconvenient but also strictly off limits! This is a fantastic book and one I think you'll enjoy. I highly recommend it.

If you come across this book & for some weird reasons, you think you should not pick it up, PLEASE FREAKIN DO! It's such an awesome book with such real characters!
About the author
Nicole McLaughlin wrote her first full length book (6 pages) about the birth of her baby sister, when she was eight years old. She only finished it because her mother bribed her with a Rick Astley cassette tape. Sad, but true. Now her characters are what keep her writing and her subject matter has gotten a little bit deeper and a lot more romantic. She resides in a small town outside of Kansas City with her husband and three sons. When she isn't writing, she's a wedding and portrait photographer, loves to cook, and watch historical dramas or documentaries. She is the author of the Man Enough novel All I Ask and the Whiskey and Wedding series.
