About this ebook

What does it take to find contentment in a restless world?

In Of Peace of Mind, the Roman philosopher Seneca explores one of humanity's most enduring concerns: how to achieve inner calm amid the distractions, ambitions and anxieties of everyday life. Written as a dialogue with his friend Serenus, the work examines the causes of dissatisfaction and offers practical advice for cultivating balance and emotional stability.

Drawing on the principles of Stoicism, Seneca shows how self-knowledge, moderation and purposeful action can free us from worry and help us live with greater confidence and serenity. His observations on ambition, leisure, wealth and personal fulfilment remain remarkably relevant to modern life.
