About this ebook

Plato's most famous work and the bedrock of Western philosophy
Written in the form of a Socratic dialogue, The Republic is an investigation into the nature of an ideal society. In this far-reaching and profoundly influential treatise, Plato explores the concept of justice, the connection between politics and psychology, the difference between words and what they represent, and the roles of art and education, among many other topics. A towering achievement of philosophical insight, The Republic is as relevant to readers today as it was to the citizens of ancient Athens.

Exellent work in the history of mankind, but now a days the efficiency of communication was lost, human thoughts turned less valuable and so life on planet turned so..

...And that was the free sample. (Not a word from Plato yet. The intro just goes on and on. Pretty bold use of another man's thoughts: preface them with yours!)

The Republic by Plato is one of the greatest works of philosophy, offering timeless reflections on justice, morality, leadership, and the ideal society. Through engaging Socratic dialogues, Plato explores the relationship between the individual and the state, the value of education, and the pursuit of truth. Though written over two thousand years ago, its ideas remain remarkably relevant. This edition is clear and accessible, making a profound philosophical classic approach.
