Blood Thirsty

In a town owned by predators, the deadliest man is the one just passing through.

Mercer Sample is a private recovery agent who enforces federal warrants for cold, hard cash. He operates without mercy and without attachments. But when he hauls a high-value fugitive into the corrupt, sun-baked highway junction of Iron Point, Texas, a routine bounty drop derails into a full-scale war.

Stonewalled by a dirty municipal police chief and forced onto a northbound Amtrak train, Mercer assumes he is leaving the hostile town behind. Then the tracks burn, the train screeches to a halt, and a heavily armed tactical crew breaches the passenger cabin. The hijackers bypass the loose cash and the jewelry, executing a precision kidnapping of a fifty-million-dollar trust fund heir.

The local syndicate thinks they’ve pulled off the perfect ransom heist. They failed to calculate the math on the bounty hunter sitting in row six.

Refusing to look the other way, Mercer teams up with the victim's ice-cold sister, Victoria, and plunges into the treacherous Texas badlands. Pitted against a ruthless casino boss, a squad of professional mercenaries, and a compromised police force, Mercer must utilize absolute kinetic violence to dismantle the extortion pipeline piece by piece.

BLOOD THIRSTY is a relentless, high-octane modern western noir thriller. Blending the sharp, rapid-fire dialogue of Elmore Leonard with the gritty, atmospheric tension of John D. MacDonald, this action-packed crime novel delivers explosive suspense from the first page to the final bullet.
