The Empty Bodies

Something far worse is happening.

When a series of victims are discovered alive but utterly hollow—stripped of their memories, emotions, and identities—Detective Logan Carter is assigned to investigate what appears to be an impossible crime. The bodies remain. The minds remain. But the people themselves are gone.

As Logan follows a trail of missing consciousness, black-market technologies, and erased lives, he uncovers whispers of the Aether Registry—a secret system capable of extracting and storing the very essence of human existence.

With the help of Ivy Sinclair, a brilliant researcher obsessed with the mysteries of memory and identity, Logan is drawn into a conspiracy that reaches from the city's forgotten slums to its most powerful corporate towers. The deeper they dig, the more terrifying the truth becomes:

Human souls have become commodities.

Bought.

Sold.

Harvested.

And someone is building an empire from the emptiness left behind.

But as Logan closes in on the architects of the conspiracy, he discovers a devastating connection between the victims and his own forgotten past. A revelation that forces him to question everything he believes about consciousness, humanity, and the meaning of self.

In a world where memories can be stolen and identities can be rewritten, how do you prove that you are still human?

The Empty Bodies is a gripping cyberpunk thriller filled with mystery, conspiracy, psychological suspense, and thought-provoking science fiction. Perfect for fans of dark futuristic worlds, detective noir, and stories that explore the fragile boundary between technology and the soul.
