About this ebook

An Australian and a Texan, both professionals working in the US, manage to forge a love-bond of steel through BDSM. While one is a Sadist and the other is a masochist, both men are masculine in every respect, and in their life outside the dungeon, both are Alpha-Males. This novel, while remains very much fiction, seeks to capture the essence of a realistic heavy Leather relationship; indeed, its core is based on the relationship of the author, Sean McFirnn, and his lifemate. Although each is employed in different cities, they still manage a meeting every month-or-so, and, since one is a professor, they are together during summers. They travel in the West and in Europe, but most of their 'trips' are to the basement-dungeon. There is, then, a large space-of-time between sessions, but these are so intense and extreme that the maso is happy to have the time to recover. The Sado has the money to have constructed a huge house around a immense dungeon. Although this novel can be read and enjoyed by itself, it is the rich source out of which flow the other five novels of THE PERFECT-S SERIES. It must, however, be understood that each novel can be read apart from the others. By-the-by, I have here explained the Aussie of this novel's title, but the explanation of the 'Spartan-Games' lies deep in the novel itself.

About the author

Sean McFirnn left his native Australia at eighteen to attend university and to have his career in the USA. This was not for lack of love for his native-land, yet, in mid-century, his countrymen's backward-view of Male-Male Love, especially BDSM, made his life unbearable. The US was itself no BDSM Utopia, so he made the decision to become an American-citizen and to change his name so that no word of a potential arrest in a gay-bar would get back to his very religious family. 'I wanted,' says Sean, 'complete freedom to be myself and take my consequences by myself. I was after-a-fashion born again' The feared arrest did not happen. Life opened up with the 1970s. He had a long successful career and also had many BDSM experiences in America and some in Europe. Now retired and living in relative isolation in the rainforests of Kuai, Sean has set out to write novels showing Aussies that their cult of Mateship can exist side-by-side with consensual, healthy, and sane BDSM relationships. In intention at-least, he has sought to offer by-way-of thanks to the BDSM world, this: he seeks to sketch BDSM in its psychological and philosophical complexity--and to do so in a very personal prose-style. Yeah-look, mates, it is only a sketch, but it was made with love.
