Over dit e-boek

The infamous Duke of Wadebridge always gets what he wants. This time, he wants the one woman he cannot have.

When Wade meets Cassandra Staunton at a garden party, he’s captivated. Beneath her perfect manners, he discovers a woman of remarkable strength—and decides at once that he must have her.

Considered the most beautiful woman in Britain, Cassandra has spent years being told that her condition means she can never give a husband the family he deserves. She’s learned to live without hope of marriage at all.

Wade’s reputation as a scoundrel should make him the last man she’d trust. Instead, his bold pursuit awakens desires she’s spent years denying, until she can no longer resist a man who makes her feel beautiful, wanted, and gloriously alive.

But Wade wants more than a fleeting affair. When he offers Cassandra an escape to Cornwall, he promises what no other man ever has: a life of love and passion without the expectations of a conventional marriage or the fear of disappointing him. He will cherish her exactly as she is.

Cassandra has spent years believing she must give up love to protect the man she marries.

Wade intends to prove she never had to choose.

I found this story of Cassandra and Wade so full of love. Wade, a duke, is known for his outrageous behavior. Does not do what society expects and goes its own way. Cassandra is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen and he is instantly in love with her. Because of her beauty, Cassandra has already had several marriage proposals but has never accepted one. She is more than a beautiful sight and no man looks beyond that. But Wade sees her for who she is and Cassandra falls for him. But she cannot marry him because she cannot bear children. Wade has been neglected all his life. After his father's death, he was taken away from his mother and raised by others who wanted to protect his duchy. Everyone sees in him only a dark duke and not for who he is. But Cassandra looks further and sees the gentle man he is. He wants to be a better man for her. The end of the book ends with Simon and Octavia, from part 1, who come to visit them. The four of them discover that Honoria is engaged in London ....... I travel to London and read the story of Honoria and Philip. If it's as good as this book and its predecessor, I'm going to have a great evening! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
