About this ebook

He broke her heart once. Now he's back—and he needs her help.

Brian

Hockey was my life until I punched out my team captain and walked away from the game. Now I’m back in St. David with custody of my twelve-year-old niece and nowhere else to turn. My best friend Rowdy Lawrence is the only person who can help – but I broke his younger sister’s heart when I left.

I’m not sure she’s happy to see me return. But when she offers to help me figure out single parenthood, I can’t say no. Even though being near her is torture. Even though her other brother Rebel will kill me if he finds out what I’m thinking.

Even though I’ll probably break her heart all over again when I leave.

Rain

I’m a Type-A workaholic who can fix anything. I’m also the only girl in a family of boys and, yeah, I’m a little spoiled. I’ve wanted my brother’s best friend Brian for a long time, way before he punched out my douchebag ex and walked away. Now Brian’s back, desperate and asking for help with the niece he's caring for alone.

I should say no. I should protect my heart and walk away. Instead, I'm falling for him all over again.

In a small town like St. David, secrets don’t stay hidden long. When my hockey-player brothers find out about us, it could tear apart my family.

Some second chances are worth fighting for. Are we brave enough to take the shot?

A second-chance romance meets single-dad hockey player in this small-town sports romance. This steamy contemporary romance is perfect for fans of protective alpha males, workplace romance, and family drama. There’s plenty of angst, emotion, and found family feels. A must-read standalone featuring small-town gossip, and the ultimate book boyfriend who punched out the heroine's ex. Ideal for lovers of hockey romance and happily-ever-afters, by authors like Natasha Madison, Liz Tomforde, Rebecca Jenshak and Jennifer Sucevik.

Another Devils Hockey Romance all though it has slow build up there is plenty of chemistry between Brian and Rain 10 years worth oh boy. Brian needs a safe place to be while taking care of his niece who is 12 while her mom gets addiction treatment. Rain has had feelings for him ever since he joined the team years ago but he never looked at her twice or so she thought then a year ago her ex was giving her trouble and Brian stepped in then disappeared now hes back do they have a chance or will Brian's disagreement with her brother Rebel put and end to there romance. I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
