About this ebook
Bursting with sharp intelligence and sly humor, this young adult novel is an utterly original take on a popular archetype of horror.
“Both medical thriller and science fiction, this fast-paced, captivating modern vampire story is enriched with biology and history . . . . Entrancing throughout.”—Kirkus Reviews, starred review
“This innovative vampire story, full of engaging characters and just enough horror without any gore, will appeal to a wide audience.”—School Library Journal, starred review
Okay, let’s clear up some myths about Vampires.
First of all, you won’t see me using the V-word much. In the Night Watch, we prefer the term Parasite Positives, or Peeps for short.
After a chance encounter with a mysterious woman one night, Cal Thompson’s life is changed forever. He’s been infected with an insidious parasite. The good news: he’s only a carrier—still sane, without the worst of the symptoms. The bad news: he’s infected all his former girlfriends—and now they’ve turned into what Cal calls peeps. The rest of us call them vampires. And it’s Cal’s job to hunt them down before they create even more of their kind. . . .

I adore ANYTHING by scott westerfeld! I read and loved the uglies series. Now I've read Peeps and tis even better! This is the PERFECT balance between science fiction, fantasy, and romance. Cal is a great character! The bar that you later find is a gay bar is hilarius! Lace's building is so well described I love it! Peeps rocks! If you liked Uglies, you will love this, I swear.

Enjoyable. Wish there was more story line and less parasite lessons, but overall good read.

I couldn't put this book down. Much better than you're newer vamp books like twilight.
