You have a CCMA date. Hold it. Between now and then: 770 questions with every option explained, two full-length 180-item practice exams, a 14-day plan that opens with a diagnostic. No login, no expiry.
We built this the way a medical assisting instructor runs an exam review, not the way a shelf gets filled. It follows NHA's detailed test plan, built on the 2022 job analysis. The sitting delivers 180 items in three hours: 150 scored, plus 30 unscored pretest items you cannot pick out. Seven domains carry the 150, and Clinical Patient Care holds 84 of them. So eight of the fourteen days sit inside clinical care, where NHA scores the most. One warning: NHA still serves a one-page summary from the older 2016 analysis, with different weights. This book follows the detailed 2022 plan. Check us against NHA's published test plan. We would rather you did.
What's inside
770 original questions, every option explained. Each answer names the right action, then says why the other three lose.
A 30-question diagnostic before Day 1. Sit it cold. Your score sheet says which domains need the evenings.
Fourteen teaching days at 25 questions each, weighted to NHA's 2022 plan. Eight are clinical, because Clinical Patient Care carries 56 percent of the score. Two cumulative reviews break the run on purpose.
A calculation day, Day 6. Dosage, conversions, and flow rates, worked on paper without a calculator, with every step shown.
Two full-length practice exams at 180 items, the delivered length. Each seeds 30 unscored items among the scored ones, interleaved so you cannot tell them apart. You'll see test day's shape before test day.
Printable reference cards: adult vital-sign ranges, order of draw and tube additives, common lab ranges, injection sites, dosage formulas, HIPAA quick rules. Perhaps your last study guide was a term list with a quiz stapled to the end. Give it three evenings. If the diagnostic tells you nothing new about how you read a scenario, put it down. An hour is all it cost.
Three readers find it useful. A student finishing a medical assisting program. A working medical assistant who needs the credential for a new employer. Someone retaking the CCMA who wants a route instead of a pile of notes. If rooming patients is already your day job, start at Day 3.
The calculation day is not enjoyable. You'll find the arithmetic slower than you remember, and no calculator sits beside you on exam day. Downloaded once, yours to keep.
