About this ebook
Discover the early history of Raistlin Majere—one of Dragonlance’s most complicated yet beloved characters—in this prequel to the New York Times-bestselling Dragonlance Chronicles.
A mage’s soul is forged in the crucible of magic.
Raistlin Majere is six years old when he meets an archmage who enrolls him in a school for the study of magic. There, the gifted and talented but tormented boy comes to see magic as his salvation. Mages in the magical Tower of High Sorcery watch him in secret, for they see shadows darkening over Raistlin even as the same shadows lengthen over Ansalon.
As Raistlin’s wizarding apprenticeship nears its end, he must take the Dread Test in the Tower of High Sorcery. It will change his life forever—if he survives.
The Soulforge is the first of two novels in The Raistlin Chronicles series, followed by Brothers in Arms.

love it. I found a couple later in the series, "dragons of spring dawning" I believe, and still own them today. Always wanted to dive into the origins of the twins.. What a great story. Looking forward to starting the next one.

I read this book years ago. And since then, Raistlen has been my favorite character out of all those in the Dragonlance Universe!!! I hope that Marharet Weis continues to write more stories about Raistlin.

Read this as a teen.... After reading the first Companion novels and wow. Incredible. Raistlin Majere is now my favorite fictional character of all time. Worth the read.
