The manga contains volumes 7, 8 & 9 of Elfen Lied. I forgot to point this out before in early volumes, but Mayu's character is way different compared to the anime. Especially her unique and strange tastes in a "certain man" that isn't the MC. Which is surprising, given her tragic past. She must be some kind of closet masochist. We're way past the anime storyline now. We're also, introduced to new side antagonists as well. Even a nameless bounty hunter who looks like a "discount Alucard from Hellsing". Who's a real depraved scumbag. Bando also had some good character developement in this manga as well. Seeing how he was a ruthless SoaB in the early volumes. In the end, all that tough guy military bravado was all a facade. Plus the showdown at the beach was epic and heartbreaking. Only one more volume to go till the story reaches its TRUE final conclusion after so long. I can't believe it took me so many years to read this manga series. But, better late than never.
