This manga contains volumes 4, 5 & 6 and an unrelated bonus story. We're halfway done with the Elfen Lied. This is where the anime's ending has nearly caught up with the manga's. Before the anime ran out of manga source material. But, both the anime and manga are VERY different from eachother. As we get a manga-only character that was NEVER introduced in the anime in chapter 43 (Also, the anime's ending is NOT the TRUE ending to Elfen Lied). Chapter 37 hits really hard. No matter how many times I read it. The true source of Kouta's amnesia and emotional trauma. Also, Yuka is still a garbage character! It feels good to see Yuka get gob-smacked by Lucy, slapped in the face by Kouta and kicked in the shin by Kanae LOL... poor Kanae...😔
