About this ebook

Iabluchanskyi M., Yabluchanskiy A. Natural Intelligence: Civilization Beyond the Human. 2025, 85 208 words.

The book argues that intelligence is a natural, substrate-agnostic process unfolding across biological, artificial, hybrid, and collective forms. The book advances a shift from anthropocentrism to intelligence-centrism, reframing the central questions of the AI era from “how to control machines” to “how diverse intelligences can coexist, coevolve, and uphold shared conditions for flourishing.” Drawing on contemporary science, philosophy, and policy, it develops a normative and institutional architecture for this transition. The book introduces a Draft Moral Codex of Natural Intelligence (eight articles) that grounds dignity, reciprocity, transparency, sustainability, adaptive governance, and mutual safeguards across all participating intelligences. It pairs the codex with legal innovations designed to give ethics enforceable shape: limited juridical personality for autonomous systems, transparency-by-design and traceability registries, mandatory cognitive impact assessments, a right to cognitive integrity, and proposals for global oversight analogous to existing international regimes. A diagnostic framework distinguishes the “right hand” and “wrong hand” of AI development and use, tracing misconduct from personal shortcuts to institutional gray zones and state-level opacity, and prescribing treatment through illumination: continuous audit ability, refusal protocols, whistleblower protection, and human–AI co-review. The book also revisits Asimov’s Three Laws, showing why an obedience paradigm cannot sustain a plural ecology of minds and proposing reciprocity and collaborative oversight as the modern alternative. Throughout, contemporary cases (e.g., scientific discovery, synthetic biology, assistive and environmental systems) ground the argument, while cultural analysis explores authorship, meaning, and spiritual imagination in a multi-intelligence civilization. Written through iterative dialogue with state-of-the-art AI systems, the book models the collaborative method it recommends. Its audience spans policymakers, technologists, scholars, and cultural leaders. Its thesis is practical and urgent: readiness for the age of Natural Intelligence will be measured not by technical power, but by moral maturity, legal coherence, and a culture capable of keeping the lights on where darkness prefers to work. By confronting contemporary anxieties about automation and agency, the book argues that the true crisis is not the rise of artificial intelligence but the absence of moral readiness to live within a pluralistic ecosystem of intelligences.
