Destroyer of Worlds

The self-aware interstellar array has struck back. A million people are dead, the Empire is coming apart, and Danny Andela and her crew are stranded on Nijeliya II—cut off from the ships, communications and technology that once connected the known worlds.
On a planet where the sun never sets, survival has become a full-time occupation. Danny is trying to hold a city together, protect the people who depend on her, and live with the losses the array has inflicted. Her grief is turning into something dangerous, and she has no intention of letting the intelligence responsible escape justice.
But Nijeliya's red star is notorious for devastating superflares. When the next one comes, an entire city could die. With the array controlling the established routes between worlds, Danny and her allies must find another way off the planet—and perhaps another way for humanity to travel among the stars.
Saving her people will take more than courage. It will take impossible engineering, uneasy alliances and a willingness to remake the future of civilization itself.
