About this ebook

Zia Mimlee moves cargo. That's the job. That's always been the job.

She doesn't ask what's in the hold. She doesn't take sides in wars that aren't hers. She flies, she gets paid, and she keeps her ship — and her heart — exactly where she left them.

Then a Fraluma warrior wakes from stasis in her cargo bay, and nothing about Zia's carefully maintained neutrality survives the encounter.

Ravenstone was meant to sleep through the journey. He was meant to guard the cargo. He was not meant to notice the pilot — her sharp edges and her hidden warmth and the way she runs toward danger the same way she runs from everything else.

Someone is hunting what's in Zia's hold.

Someone reprogrammed her ship.

And somewhere in the space between a near-miss and a hard truth, the only thing standing between Zia and everything chasing her is a warrior who was never supposed to be her protector — and who can't seem to stop anyway.

Beyond the Black is Book Three in the Fated Stars series — a slow burn forbidden romance set in deep space, full of danger, earned trust, and two people who have every reason to keep their distance and no willpower left to do it.

This one was my favorite of the three. The whole set is a slow burn story of intrigue, survival and surprising relationships. I think what I liked the most was the way the stories tied up with previous characters appearing and the natural way the couple this story was about came together. There is some deep thought built into the personality of both of them and it worked out very well. I definitely think its worth going back and reading all three to understand the subtle way this set builds. I
