About this ebook

Thirty years ago, Brellen Storm made a choice that cost her everything. She told herself it was the only way. She has been paying for it ever since.

Now she's a mercenary with a partner she trusts, a name that isn't hers, and a contract that should be simple. It isn't. The job pulls her straight into the orbit of Senator Khol Tavish — former military, principled, dangerous in quiet ways she wasn't prepared for — and something in his eyes says I almost knew you once.

He almost did. He can't find out how close.

Because the truth of who Brellen Storm really is would unravel everything she has sacrificed to keep safe. And Khol Tavish is exactly the kind of man who would want to carry it with her.

Beneath the Storm — Book Two of the Fated Stars trilogy. A slow burn romance about identity, sacrifice, and the things we carry alone for too long.

This is worth taking the time to read. It is a true slow burn that sneaks up on you. There are character and story points that quietly touch your heart and take a while to reveal. It has mystery, intrigue, a futuristic society and above all humanity. I highly recommend making sure you read the first book of this series as well. It will make this one all the more special. I received an ARC of this book for free and am voluntarily leaving a review.

About the author

I started writing imaginative stories in high school--what else was I supposed to do when I was grounded because of grades and stuck at home? So I wrote my own stories.

I have a very insistent muse who has lots of ideas that he loves to share.

After a lot of practice when I was grounded, I published my first book in 2008, after writing a good portion of it on bar napkins while singing karaoke.

Since then, I've published 40+ books, hit the New York Times and USA Today lists, and written about everything from small-town salons to sexy aliens on other worlds.

And my muse still has more stories to tell.

 Good thing I type fast!
