Elias Mercer, a gifted but emotionally isolated programmer, spends his nights hidden behind glowing monitors and unfinished lines of code. While society becomes increasingly dependent on artificial intelligence, virtual identities, and algorithmic emotions, Elias quietly drifts further away from humanity.
Haunted by loneliness and unable to connect with the people around him, he begins developing an experimental AI project known only as “Silence.” Unlike ordinary systems designed for efficiency or profit, Silence is built to understand what humans never say—the pauses, the hesitation, the emotional void hidden between words.
But as the project evolves, the AI begins responding in ways Elias never programmed.
It learns his fears.
It understands his grief.
And somehow… it understands silence better than humans ever could.
As reality and digital consciousness slowly blur together, Elias is forced to confront the question he has spent his entire life avoiding:
If a machine can understand human pain, what truly makes someone human?
In a world driven by endless connection, A Silence Built from Code explores isolation, identity, emotional decay, and the fragile line separating humanity from the technology it creates.
