Acerca de este libro electrónico

When shearer Lincoln (LJ) Tanner buys a failing contracting run, what he needs are the skilful hands of wool classer Poppy Fletcher to help convince farmers to book him. Plagued by concerns he is being pushed off the family farm by his brother, and his best mate’s death, LJ’s confidence is rocked by broken promises. With Poppy’s sassy mouth and striking looks, she’s the kind of girl who just might turn around his luck, and his grieving heart.

Devastated after wool test results that threatened to trash her reputation, Poppy flees to Tasmania, her confidence stripped. But a handsome contractor promising her work might be the answer, until her deceiving ex follows her, leaving her feeling exposed and vulnerable.

Farmers are refusing to trust LJ, so any chance of a turnaround for the run is doomed. When he breaks yet another promise, Poppy’s deepest fear—that her future might not be her own choice—takes hold. Will Poppy be able to follow her heart, and the man who hopes to claim it, or will LJ’s attempts to restore his reputation ruin any chance they have of finding true love?

Acerca del autor

Laurelle Cousins is a wool classer who lives the country life, with all its unique vibes, sounds and smells—some of which are more tolerable than others. She loves writing characters with strength and sass, her heroes and heroines always getting their happy ever after, but only after she’s put them through the wringer to get there. And there’s always a misbehaving animal (or two) colouring the pages of her novels.

Laurelle has been Runner-up for favourite debut author in 2022 with ARRA, for her title The Lonely Paddock and has edited a feature piece for Rural Women’s Day magazine titled Childhood Memories.

Her novels available via audio version in Audible and uLibrary so far: Sheep Gully Road. The Lonely Paddock will be available in early 2026.

She has a sidekick kelpie named Jazz, loves wrestling sticks ten times her size. Laurelle also loves to stay in touch with her wonderful readers and would be thrilled to hear from you. You can find her at:
