Meg has spent a lifetime keeping Hughey at arm’s length. In Forest Gully, memories are long, forgiveness is rare, and one saucy scandal has already ruined a family name. Getting close to Hughey risks reopening old wounds she’s worked hard to bury. Desire is dangerous. Hope is even worse.
But when a meddling stray cat intervenes, sparks fly, secrets surface, and the future starts to look dangerously tempting. As Hughey fights to rebuild from the ashes and Meg faces the truth about what she truly wants, Forest Gully may never be the same.
Can attraction, and a little feline interference, be enough to rewrite their story?
Laurelle Cousins is a wool classer who lives the country life, with all its unique vibes, sounds and smells—some of which are more tolerable than others! She loves writing characters with strength and sass, her heroes and heroines always getting their happy ever after, but only after she’s put them through the wringer to get there. Her novels are set in rural, country settings with small towns and lovable busy bodies, with danger and suspense, and a misbehaving animal (or two) colouring their pages.
Laurelle has five novels released: The Lonely Paddock, Sheep Gully Road, The Home Paddock, The Reluctant Farm-her, and A Shearer’s Run, and was Runner-up for favourite debut author in 2022 with ARRA for her title The Lonely Paddock. She has also edited a feature piece for Rural Women’s Day magazine titled Childhood Memories.
Her novels available in audio through Ulverscroft are Sheep Gully Road and The Lonely Paddock.
She has a sidekick kelpie named Jazz, who loves wrestling sticks ten times her size. Laurelle also loves to stay in touch with her wonderful readers and would be thrilled to hear from you. You can find her at:
