How The Whale Got His Throat

Dive into one of Rudyard Kipling’s most delightful and imaginative Just So Stories—the whimsical tale of how the great Whale came to have such a very small throat.

In this clever and gently mischievous origin story, Kipling introduces listeners to a greedy Whale, a resourceful mariner armed with nothing but a raft, a cooking-stove, and a truly clever plan, and the beginning of a rule that all whales have followed ever since.

Narrated with warmth and charm by Richard Stibbard, this classic fable blends humor, myth, and storytelling magic. Perfect for families, young listeners, lovers of folklore, and anyone who appreciates the timeless voice of Kipling.

A charming tale of wit, wonder, and the playful logic of make-believe.
