The Darning Needle

Small in size... but full of pride.

In The Darning Needle, Hans Christian Andersen crafts a clever and subtly humorous tale about a needle who believes itself far more important than it truly is.

As the needle moves through the world, its vanity and self-importance lead to a series of ironic and revealing moments—offering listeners a gentle but powerful lesson about perspective, humility, and the nature of true worth.

With Andersen’s signature blend of wit and meaning, this short story delivers both charm and insight in equal measure.

Beautifully narrated by Richard Stibbard, this timeless tale is perfect for listeners who enjoy thoughtful storytelling with a touch of humor and reflection.
