Investigating Hearts

Max was tired of being lonely. Though the small town he lived in was not the place he was going to find what he wanted to fix his life. He wanted nothing more than the same as everyone else. So, when he saw her, he was surprised that she was his boss's younger sister. That was enough to make sure that he should have stayed away from her. However, a few words exchanged, and she was all he could think about.

Kathleen was tired of trying to find a place. She thought that by moving to a small town where she would have a more normal job that she would start to feel like a person again. That was not in the cards for her. When she made her across country move Max was there at her brother's house and offered to help her with the things in her car.

A chance encounter that would lead to them both investigating the heart.
