I always tell people that Chuck writes like Stephen King with less baggage. I feel like that comparison is extremely apt here. but also Chuck really knows how to nail an ending. I loved this book, I understood and in many ways was these characters, and the central conflict here was incredibly compelling. I have already recommended it to several people but I now recommend it to you, whoever is reading this. This is a story about friendships and how they break and change and evolve and what we're willing to do for them. And it's also a spooky haunted house style story. Give it a chance.
