For me you can’t beat a forced proximity, enemies to lovers’ romance, but throw in a little cutie and I’m a total goner. The only thing missing from this book is a dog! I think that all the characters in this book are fabulous, from both the sassy FMC and the grumpy MMC with his cute as hell daughter to the supporting characters but my absolute favourites have to be The Thermos Crew, what a bloody name.

Not sure what Piper Rayne put into characters & storylines that make them so addictive & captivating…but I am here for every…single…one of them. Echo Lake is small town at its finest. Everyone knows everyone, & the gossip mill runs at lightening speed. Something that neither Elliott Mercer nor Emelia Greene are strangers to. In true best dad form, watching Elliott melt for the lady loving his baby girl, & watching their scorching chemistry—YES…PLEASE! The bond, trust, & support was everything!!

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ Audioboook Review: Narrated By: Jason Clarke, Callie Dalton, Connor Crais, JF Harding, Aaron Shedlock, Jill Smith. Well hello Mercer Family. I am so excited for this new series that is in quaint Small Town called Echo Lake. As always Piper Rayne always deliver with multi narrators that make the story feel like a movie. Jason Clarke is the yummy voice for Elliott Mercer, grumpy single dad that just wants a simple life raising his daughter and run his Summer camp business. As always Jason was great with the grumpy side of the character as well as the smexy deep side too. Oh his little girl Baylor is so cute. She is so funny and smart for a 5 Yr old, you can't help but love her. My heart breaks at how she so desperately wants a mother figure in her life. Emelia Green is a child from the Green series. She is absolutely lovely and a bit lost. Callie's voice was exactly what Emelia needed that portrayed her gentle, funny, caring and vulnerable personality. Emelia has always felt she never belonged anywhere and would run and settle elsewhere. She has come to Echo Falls on behalf of real estate agents wanting build small apartments for the benefits of the people in Echo Fall. But Elliott knows her kind of people. They come in and bulldozer everything and ruin small towns. So he started off not being so kind and wanting to drive her out. But only problem is she is renting his cabin. Also Baylor starts to build a friendship with Emelia despite her father's hesitation. Next thing you know Emelia has to stay with them until her cabin is fixed after a storm. Soon Elliott starts to see the real Emelia and his gaurded heart is falling for her. I loved all the characters in the little town and their kindness. Emelia can't help but start caring and feeling like she belongs. They both struggle with their attraction as she is leaving in 3 months. Then something happens and everything they build may shatter. This story was funny, witty banter, love, found family, loss, finding themselves and building bridges. I love how PR somehow make me love all their characters. I read this and listened to it and I highly recommend both. I can't wait for rest of the Mercer families story.
