Podrobnosti o audioknize
Ramakrishna was one of the most influential spiritual figures of nineteenth-century India, a mystic whose teachings helped shape the modern understanding of Hindu spirituality both in India and throughout the world. Though he left behind no formal philosophical system of his own, his life, experiences, and conversations inspired a religious movement that continues to attract followers more than a century after his death.
Born Gadadhar Chattopadhyay in rural Bengal in 1836, Ramakrishna became a priest at the famous Dakshineswar Kali Temple near Calcutta. There he devoted himself to intense spiritual practice, pursuing a wide range of religious disciplines with extraordinary dedication. His experiences led him to conclude that different spiritual paths could lead to the same ultimate reality, a message that would become one of the defining themes of his life and legacy.
This biography traces Ramakrishna's journey from village boy to revered mystic, examining his teachings, spiritual experiences, disciples, and lasting impact on religious thought. Drawing upon historical records, memoirs, contemporary accounts, and traditional sources, it explores the life of a man whose vision of spiritual unity helped bridge ancient traditions and the modern world. More than a century after his passing in 1886, Ramakrishna remains one of India's most respected and widely studied spiritual teachers.
