Shift, Sift, Lift: How God Uses Shaking, Testing, and Glory to Transform Your Life and Your Church
About this audiobook
When God starts shaking everything around you, is He punishing you—or preparing you?
In Shift, Sift, Lift, Mike Barrett draws from his own radical transformation and years of frontline ministry to show how God uses seasons of shaking, testing, and pruning to bring His people into greater glory. With bold faith, raw honesty, and a strong prophetic edge, Mike unpacks what it means to walk through God’s process: first the shift, then the sift, and finally the lift into fruitfulness and power.
Through Scripture-rich teaching, real stories, and practical insight, you’ll discover how to:
Recognize when God is shifting the atmosphere of your life and church
Navigate sifting seasons without losing heart or faith
Trade religious dryness and counterfeits for real intimacy with God
Embrace pruning as preparation for greater fruit
Carry God’s presence as a habitation, not just enjoy a visitation
Whether you’re a believer wondering what on earth God is doing, a leader walking your church through transition, or a hungry heart desperate for more of His presence, this book will help you see your shaking through heaven’s eyes—and step into the lift God has prepared for you.

About the author
Mike Barrett is the CEO and founder of Transformations Program Australia, a Christ-centered residential rehabilitation ministry established in 1999 on the Gold Coast and now serving multiple locations across the nation. A former drug addict and enforcer radically transformed by the power of Jesus, Mike carries a burning passion to see men and women set free from addiction, homelessness, abuse, and mental illness and equipped to live healthy, purpose-filled lives.
Under Mike’s leadership, Transformations has become a pioneering, faith-supported therapeutic community that addresses the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual roots of addiction through a holistic, peer-to-peer model. Thousands have encountered lasting freedom through a blend of structured residential care, discipleship, group therapy, and the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
Beyond his work in rehabilitation, Mike ministers internationally as an evangelist and prophetic voice, preaching in many nations and carrying the fire of revival into churches, conferences, inner cities, and some of the hardest places on earth—from the slums of the Philippines to cartel-run border towns and war-torn regions of Africa. His bold, story-filled preaching calls the body of Christ to “win the lost at any cost” and to host not just visitations, but the very habitation of God’s glory.
Mike is also involved in broader recovery and revival initiatives through allied ministries, extending the vision of Christ-centered transformation beyond Australia. He is a husband and father, deeply committed to family, and leads with the same compassion, humility, and courage that shaped his own journey from bondage to freedom.
