Beta

Hado Rincon stocks shelves at a grocery store, runs three miles every Tuesday and Thursday, and has never wanted more than the life he already has. Then a routine flu shot changes everything he is.

Weeks later, he's the CIA's most closely guarded secret — a man rebuilt from the inside by a program called Beta, sent into the field with abilities he never asked for and can't fully explain. But someone inside the Agency already knows what he is, and someone outside it wants to make sure he never finds out why he was chosen.

A grocery clerk becomes a weapon. A weapon has to decide what kind of man he still is.
