Off-Ice Overtime

A team retreat. A snowy cabin. One bed. And a six-year secret they can't hide anymore.

Beck Morrison does not lose control. As the twenty-eight-year-old captain of the Halifax Tidewater, she relies on strict protocols and her unreadable "captain face" to lead her hockey team. She has to. It is the only way to bury the fact that she has been deeply, desperately in love with her star winger for six years. Fraternization is strictly forbidden by their league contracts, and Beck will do whatever it takes to protect her teammate's career—even if it breaks her own heart.

Victoria "Tori" Zhang wears her heart on her sleeve. At twenty-six, she’s a phenomenal player who has spent her entire professional career pining for the one woman she can never have: her stoic, untouchable captain. Tori has always respected the boundaries, keeping her distance to keep the peace.

But when Coach sends the entire team on a mandatory fourteen-day retreat to Cedar Ridge, everything changes. Thanks to a "broken down" car and a meddling best friend, Beck and Tori are forced to share Cabin 4.

Cabin 4 is isolated in the snow. Cabin 4 is cold. And Cabin 4 only has one king-sized bed.

With the ice melting between them and the proximity pushing their restraint to the absolute limit, Tori decides it is time to stop playing it safe. But crossing the line means risking their careers, their team, and everything they've built on the ice.

Off-Ice Overtime is a high-heat, deeply emotional sapphic sports romance featuring the grumpy/sunshine dynamic, intense forced proximity, and a hard-earned happily ever after.
