🌾 SHIRATSUYU — WHITE DEW
Shiratsuyu is the season that arrives in early September, when the first cold nights leave dew on the grasses. The dial is laid over white shell: a stream is chased across the lower half in gold, pampas plumes stand in it, and a maple branch reaches in from ten o'clock with the first leaves already turning. Almost every lacquer dial is dark. This one is light, and the gold is drawn on shell rather than on black urushi.

🐚 FOUR SHELLS
The nacre can be set to white-lip pearl, abalone, cherry shell or black-lip pearl. Only the shell moves — the gold work, the maple and the twelve applied batons are identical on all four, so it stays the same dial cut from a different shell. Black-lip turns the whole ground to deep green-black and the gold reads like moonlight on it.

⚙️ AN OPEN HEART AT NINE
The register at nine o'clock is cut clean through the dial. Behind it a watch movement sits on jewelled bridges, and two wheels turn on it, geared one to the other, for as long as the face is awake.

⌚ TWO SUNK REGISTERS
Two more registers are sunk into the shell at three and six. They show steps and the watch battery by default, and each can be changed to other information you prefer. Choose Large, Medium or Small.

📅 THE DAY, BELOW TWELVE
A gold-rimmed window under twelve carries the weekday and the day, set on the same circle as the open heart and the two registers so it belongs to the layout rather than sitting on top of it.

🕰️ BLUED STEEL AND GOLD
The hour and minute hands are straight batons cut flat at the point, and they come in three sets: blued steel in a gold edge, gold in a dark edge, or steel in a dark edge. Every one of them is two metals on purpose. The dial has two grounds — white shell and three dark openings — and it takes both metals for a hand to stay readable as it crosses from one to the other. The second hand is a maple crimson needle in all three, and sweeps rather than ticks.

The figures in the registers can be set in gold, pearl, maple or steel.

🌙 AMBIENT MODE
Optimised for always-on display. The shell, the gold work and the data step aside; the twelve applied markers remain with the hour and minute hands drawn as fine gold outlines on true black — readable at a glance while the screen stays gentle on battery.
