About this app

Most of this dial is simply black. On an OLED screen those pixels stay off, so the only light is a single ribbon of aurora borealis drifting across the upper third, teal low on the left and rising into violet rays on the right.

This aurora watch face keeps everything else stark. Twelve white baton indices, longer at 12, 3, 6 and 9. No numerals, no date, no extra data. The lines sit on the black like the edges of a building at night.

Hands
Ice-white hour and minute hands with open round hubs, and a thin teal second hand with a short counterweight that sweeps smoothly beneath the polar lights.

Colors
Deep black, aurora teal, violet blue and a pale ice white.

Always-on display
The aurora fades to a faint glow, the second hand is hidden and the white hands stay clear, so the time remains readable while the screen saves power.

For anyone who has stood under the northern sky, or still wants to, this is an aurora watch face that stays quiet on the wrist.

Made for Wear OS 4 and newer (Galaxy Watch, Pixel Watch), built with the Watch Face Format.

No ads, no tracking, no phone app required.
