Wilfred Stein

Wilfred Stein was born in Durban, South Africa in 1931. His parents, Philip Stein and Lily Rollnick, both emigrated from Lithuania as young children. Now Emeritus Professor of Biophysics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, he studied in South Africa, England and the USA. He has written books on transport across cell membranes and numerous papers on membrane transport, drug resistance in cancer and malaria and, more recently, on quantitative aspects of cancer therapy.
