Susan Kite has been writing for over thirty years, beginning with fan-fiction. A visit to the Mission San Luis Rey in 2001 became the catalyst to write her first novel, "My House of Dreams." She now has over thirteen books published in various genres. Science fiction, fantasy, tall tales, and historical fiction for children, middle grades readers, young adults, and adults. Bold Venture Press published her trilogy "Zorro's Pacific Odyssey" -- which consists of "The Outward Journey," "The Forbidden Country," and "The Deadly Homecoming" -- and several of her Zorro short stories. The author worked in school libraries for 35 years, mostly elementary and mostly in Tennessee. Reading has always been an important hobby for her. Now retired, Ms. Kite lives in Yukon, Oklahoma, with two opinionated black cats and a Jack Russell terrier.
