Saifedean Ammous

SAIFEDEAN AMMOUS is one of the world's most widely read writers on economics. He wrote The Bitcoin Standard (2018), which sold more than one million copies worldwide in 39 languages; The Fiat Standard (2021), which is available in 22 languages; and Principles of Economics (2023), available in 11 languages. Ammous teaches courses on bitcoin and economics in the Austrian school tradition on his online learning platform, Saifedean.com, and also hosts The Bitcoin Standard Podcast. Through The Saif House, he publishes high-quality hardcover books on bitcoin, fiat money, and Austrian economics. From 2009 to 2019, Ammous served as a professor of economics at the Lebanese American University. He holds a PhD in Sustainable Development from Columbia University, a Master's in Development Management from the London School of Economics, and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the American University of Beirut.
