Robert Darnton

Robert Darnton, professor emeritus of Harvard University, has published widely on the history of books and eighteenth-century France. His most recent books are Pirating and Publishing in the Age of Enlightenment, The Revolutionary Temper: Paris 1748-1789, and The Writer's Lot: Culture and Revolution in Eighteenth-Century France.
