Louisa Reid

Louisa Reid was born in Hamilton, New Zealand, in 1956. At the age of seventeen she had personal history involving this kind of situation. She chose to forget this and drive it out of her mind. She married, divorced, raised her own children, worked every year that she could. However, she remembered the event after 20 years of forgetting it. She tried re-marrying and moved to Brisbane, Australia, in 2005, but was separated from her second husband in 2013.In 2012 she had felt a need to write her own website against rape, www.itsokaytobeangry.com, and after her separation she wrote First Person Singular. In 2014 she ended up in hospital for an unrelated appointment (book coming about that), and First Person Singular had to wait to get to the publisher this year, 2015.Louisa is still living in Brisbane, Australia.
