Lisa Sweetingham is an award-winning investigative journalist and author. She began her career as a reporter for Court TV, where she covered a range of legal stories, from celebrity trials (Michael Jackson, Robert Blake) and U.S. Supreme Court nomination hearings to the last days of prisoners on death row. For her first book, Chemical Cowboys, which she began reporting while still a student at Columbia Journalism School, Lisa received unfettered access to undercover Drug Enforcement Administration agents and members of organized crime in order to reveal the secret DEA operations that began in the nightclubs of New York and eventually toppled a billion-dollar, international ecstasy network controlled by Israeli mafia. Lisa next collaborated on four thought-leader books with other authors, including the New York Times bestselling Thirst, which follows the founder of charity: water’s extraordinary journey from nightclub promoter to global philanthropist. American Murder Mystery is her sixth book. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Bruce Wallin, and their daughter, Natalie.
